Future Self

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results"  - Albert Einstein

This is a concept that truly changed my life.

I was so tired of living one day after the other, just bored of my life, and feeling guilty for having these thoughts. I had so many people telling me that I SHOULD be grateful for this amazing life I had, and even though I was grateful, I also wanted to change it all.

I just wanted to have something exciting to wake up to, and I was trying to do different things, thinking that it would be helpful.

I quickly realized anything I did or didn't do couldn't make me feel any different, if I was still carrying the same thoughts that got me there in the first place.

And that’s when the work of Future Self begins. Stop for a minute and consider, “What kind of person do I want to become?” “What do I picture my future self being like?”

When you want to change your life because you know you have great potential, you are experiencing the change from abundance. You don't want to change because things are bad... You want to change because you can see it can get even better.

Envisioning

  • Who is she?
  • What does she look like?
  • How does she dress?
  • How does she talk to someone on the street?
  • Is she more serious? Bubbly personality? Confident? Trustworthy? How would you define her?
  • How is her posture? How does she sit down? How does she walk?
  • Write more things that you can think of what your future self would look like, in detail... Imagine everything you can think of that she would be like. Her hair, her makeup, her style...

Eating:

  • How does she see food?
  • How does she prepare her lunch?
  • Does she sit in front of the TV to eat?
  • Does she prepare her space to serve her meal?
  • Does she eat snacks?
  • Does she eat vegetables?
  • What does her plate look like?
  • Is she trying to lose weight?
  • Is she enjoying the food?
  • Is she afraid of overeating?

Exercise:

  • What does she do for exercise?
  • Does she go outside?
  • Does she go to the gym? Walk? Run?
What kind of clothes does she wear when she workout?

Money:

  • How does she see money?
  • Does she like spending it? Saving?
  • Does she know how to invest?
  • How much money does she make?
  • Is she working? Does she work from home? An office?

Parenting:

  • How does she speak with her children?
  • How is her parenting?
  • Does she listen to parenting podcasts? Books?
  • How confident is she with the way she parents her children
  • What does she think about herself as a mother?
  • Does she like spending time with her children?
  • What are her favorite things to do with her kids?

Spirituality:
  • Does she have a religion?
  • How does she define her relationship with her religion?
  • How does she see spirituality?
  • What is she doing to practice spirituality - Spirituality is different from religion. Define both.

Love:

  • How does she show love? Affection?
  • What is the love story she has to tell?
  • How is her passion for life?
  • What is one word you’d use to describe her?
  • Who are the 3 people you admire the most today?
  • Why do you admire them?
  • Which qualities do you admire?

Did you know the qualities you see in others, you possess now? You don’t see in others what you don’t have within yourself, the good and the bad. Your perception of the world is just a reflection of your inner-world. So, all the qualities you see are things inside of you, ready for you to develop and express.

Use these qualities as your compass to guide you to become the person that you want to become. Use it to give you strength and courage to figure out what kind of person you want to be.

When you start to imagine these things, you are giving your brain some direction to what you want to create. If you don't know exactly what you want to create, you will stay the same person you have always been.

Nothing wrong with that, that's how 90% of the population on Earth lives, and apparently it works really well for most of them, but it's nice to know that there's another way. You can now stop living your life by default and start creating your dreams.

When you finish journaling about these things, ask yourself how close you think you are from that person that you want to become? That’s exactly what I will coach you on, and pretty soon, we will debunk any limiting beliefs about yourself. You will see how you don’t have to change anything outside yourself to bring to life the very best version of yourself.

You will develop the mindset needed to believe in your full potential. You can absolutely be that person, because this is what you desire to become.

You don't have this burning desire if it's not possible. And, as soon as you have a clear vision of who your future self is, you will see how fun it is to create that new reality.

Together I will help you enjoy the journey, because every time you fail, it’s one step closer to achieving your goal. And remember, there’s no happy ending to a miserable journey. Loving the process makes everything better.

There's no such a thing as falling behind, or not doing it right. Whatever you are doing, focused on your vision and aligned with your dreams are exactly the steps you need to take to bring that reality to life. This Future Self Vision is the goal that you will align yourself with. Like, when you go out to dinner, instead of feeling confused about what to order, you can ask your future self: “What would she order?” When you are upset at your neighbor, ask yourself: “How would my future version behave in this situation”. Simple things like these examples will guide you to transform your life and how you see yourself.

You will learn to trust in yourself, that you know how to become this person. And you will trust that she will be here sooner than you can imagine, because she’s already inside of you, waiting for your courage to let her flourish.

I can't wait to witness your transformation!

Much Love,
